Love Synastry
Free Zodiac Compatibility Test
Two charts, one compatibility reading. ~2 minutes, preview free.
A compatibility reading puts two sun signs side by side and looks at how the elements behave together: fire and air tend to feed each other, earth and water tend to steady each other, and some pairings need more translation than others. This free test takes both birth dates, scores the pairing out of 100, and explains where you naturally align, where friction is likely, and what each of you does when stressed. Two minutes, no sign-up, nothing to install. It reads sun signs only — a full synastry chart compares every planet, which is what the paid report adds.

Just both birth dates. Even without exact hours, the sun-sign match already says a lot.

What a synastry reading actually measures
Synastry is not a yes-or-no verdict on whether two people belong together. It is a structural map: where you align naturally, and where you need extra translation. This reading starts from both sun signs and unpacks four things — element interaction, modal rhythm, how the score is built, and where conflict tends to land.
1. Two suns first, then how they meet
One sign alone only describes one person's style. Synastry looks at the chemistry between two styles. The same Aries is drawn in by a Libra's complementarity, and deadlocks with a Capricorn over who decides.
That is why both birth dates are required. Two sun signs are the minimum unit of a synastry judgement.
2. Element interaction is the first layer
The four elements have a stable set of compatibilities. Fire and air feed each other — air supplies the oxygen. Earth and water nourish each other — water gives soil its moisture. Same-element pairs resonate on contact. The harder pairs are fire with water, where one wants speed and one wants depth, and earth with air, where one wants ground and one wants motion.
None of this is a verdict. Cross-element pairs are often more magnetic; the price is higher communication cost and a greater need for explicit rules.
3. Modality decides whether your rhythms line up
Cardinal wants to push, fixed wants to hold, mutable wants to adjust. Two cardinals start things together and both resist closing them out. A fixed-mutable pair produces the familiar standoff of one who will not move and one who will not stop.
Mismatched rhythm is harder to notice than elemental friction, because it does not look like arguing. It looks like one person always being tired.
4. How the 0 to 100 score is calculated
The score is a weighted composite of three inputs: element compatibility at the heaviest weight, modal match, and the aspect between the two signs — opposition, trine and so on. It measures the default ease of being together.
It does not include your willingness to communicate, your shared history, or your maturity. A low score means more default friction; a high score means an easier start. Neither predicts the outcome.
5. Why strengths and challenges must be listed separately
A synastry boiled down to a vague reassurance that you two suit each other has no practical value. What is useful: when an argument starts, what is each of your default reactions, and which default makes the other worse.
So the reading lists strengths as resources you can lean on, and challenges as things you can prepare for, instead of blending them into one paragraph.
SAMPLE · ARIES × LIBRA SCORE SECTION
“Aries sun × Libra sun | Compatibility 78/100. Elements: fire × air — air feeds fire, a pair that lights each other up. Strengths: one of you speaks first, the other knows how to phrase it. Challenge: Aries wants a conclusion, Libra wants equilibrium, so you circle the question of who decides. Advice: split decision rights by domain instead of renegotiating every single choice.”
That is the real structure of the scoring section in the full synastry. The full report expands twelve dimensions one by one: communication rhythm, conflict handling, intimacy needs, money attitudes, family roles, long-term goals and more.
